Information for successful applicants

1. Successful applicants are requested to pay the tuition fee within the following period. The admission certificate will be issued only for those who will pay the tuition fee.

2. In case of failure to pay the tuition fee, the admission will be cancelled. Only those who pay the tuition fee will be considered as enrolled students.

When you pay the tuition fee, the applicant’s name and receipt number should be mentioned.

4. After verification the admission letter will be issued for applicants who are BEST-KNU Scholarship grantees, and full scholarship grantees.


5. Applicants who have passed the final selection are required to submit their Degree Authentication certificate to KNU Office of International Affairs.

a) Notice for newly admitted undergraduate students

Newly admitted students must submit at least one of the verification documents listed below.

* Newly admitted students from countries which are signatories to the Apostille convention

? Official certificates (transcripts, diplomas, etc.) from public schools or institutions should be submitted with the attachment of “Apostille”.

? All Apostilles are issued by the relevant government office.(ex: In the Republic of Korea, an Apostille is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade)

* For information regarding how to get an Apostille, please refer to the web site: http://www.hcch.net[Specialisedsections-ApostilleSection]

* Newly admitted students from countries which are NOT signatories to the Apostille convention

? Students from these countries should submit the official certificates with the attachement of an Authentication issued by the Korean Embassy or Consulate.

* Newly admitted Chinese students

The certificate of degree should be issued by China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Information (http://www.cdgdc.edu.cn) or www.chsi.com.cn.

? Freshman (One of the three documents below is required )

A certificate of College Entrance Examination issued by CDGDC

A certificate of High School Graduation Examination issued by CDGDC

A certificate of degree issued by the Korean Embassy in china

? Transfer students : Ministry of Education Academic Record Online Certificate

b) Notice for newly admitted graduate students

* Certificate issued in a language rather than English should be accompanied by a translated copy in Korean.

* he visa will not be issued in case of failure to submit the mentioned documents, so please make sure to submit all the required documents.
