Information Technology
The College of Information Technology is playing a leadership role in shaping the electrical and computer engineering education and research by providing a state-of-the-art education with an integrated core curriculum, hands-on and computer-intense laboratories, development of communications and leadership skills, teamwork and practical experience.

Currently, the college of IT has 47 faculty members and about 1,200 undergraduate students and 100 graduate students enrolled in programs leading to the degrees: Bachelor of Science(B.S.), Master of Science(M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).

The Program of Electronic and Communication Engineering is dedicated to the education of high quality engineers in the fields of new generation communication technology; digital system design; digital signal and image processing; control automation & intelligence; mobile communication; networking; internet application; multimedia communication; ubiquitous sensor network; medical electronic and medical image technology; and embedded software. We focus on development of engineering capabilities through theoretical and practical education that enable the technology innovation in the field of electronic, communication and computer engineering.

The graduates begin their careers in electronic and communication corporation like KT, SKT, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, ETRI, venture business, research laboratory, government employees, patent attorney and so on. The main purpose of our department is to provide the well-trained and highly-qualified students leading the modern IT era. this end, we study the core technologies essential for developing many software applications. We also educate diverse subjects required to understand computers and information technologies. Representative subjects for freshmen and sophomores include basic mathematical courses, programming languages, data structures, computer logics, web programming, data communication, and software engineering; and those for junior senior students include operating systems, algorithms, computer architectures, database, computer networks, graphics, and artificial intelligence.
