Program of Visual Communication Design
Program of Visual Communication Design focuses on applied design practices and theoretical studies based on basic use and formative practice of design. The department strives to cultivate designers needed in the design field, and gives best efforts to educate students to have independent ability to work in fields of advertisements, promotional departments, advertisement agencies, and design labs.
Program of Moving Design
Program of Moving Design is cultivating media experts demanded by the society by teaching expertise and practical ability related to media of the modern society. It aims to train talented individuals who can lead the fields of overall digital media including game design, digital content planning, VFX, animation, motion graphic artist, and VR/AR/MR.
Program of Industrial Design
Program of Industrial Design is fostering talented individuals who can play an active role in fields of product design, transportation design, interior design, environmental design, and exhibition display design by systematically studying, analyzing, and practicing the correlation of science and art as well as rational problem-solving ability in terms of engineering (materials, mechanism, mass production and more) based on thorough design relation theories and basic formative practices.
Program of Ballet Dance
Program of Ballet Dance helps students to have qualifications as professional dancers by teaching basic movements and high-level techniques of ballet, and researching and analyzing them to allow the students to learn various expressions through field experiences and train them with creative and teaching abilities.
Program of Korean Dance
Program of Korean Dance cultivates stage artists having the ability to create and teach that would meet the trends of the times by practicing correct positions of Korean dance as the comprehensive art based on the cultural customs of Koreans, and develop dance styles as stage art that displays traditional sentiment of Koreans through Korean dance styles based on traditional Korean dance.
Program of Modern Dance
In Program of Modern Dance, students study impromptu movements through creative works and various experiments of expressing one's emotions, rhythm, and thoughts by perceiving body balance based on natural expression of the body and experiences. Students also learn basic postures and various techniques to produce performances based on practical experiences.
Program of Western Painting
Program of Western Painting aims to cultivate talented individuals who can contribute to development of various fields in contemporary art by carrying out a variety of practices and systematic theoretical studies. For freshmen and sophomores, the focus is on basic practical education of major to enhance creativity and expression. For juniors and seniors, students learn to improve formative ability and artist mindset to produce more original and creative works based on in-depth understanding of contemporary paintings and art theories.
Program of Sculpture
Program of Sculpture aims to foster ability to express using various materials, and to cultivate sculptors who can develop a new sense of formativeness based on extensive understanding traditional and contemporary sculpture. Creative and professional sculptors are produced by practicing and learning in various ways the studies and expression methods of various materials in the newly built large outdoor sculpting yard.
Program of Korean Painting
Program of Korean Painting allows students to formatively express the Korean spirit by understanding and developing contemporary art based on traditions. Students carry out phased learning from basics to specialized courses, in which they harmoniously use inking and coloring based on theories. In freshman and sophomore years, students learn basic expressive techniques and understanding of traditional Korean paintings. In the junior and senior years, students cultivate ability to contribute to development of the national art culture by studying the knowledge as artists to be equipped with professional knowledge and creative expressions.
Program of Orchestra
Program of Orchestra aims to help students to learn techniques and expressions through practical courses, and to build their ability and enhance artistic understanding by improving interpretation and expressions of music through the orchestra composed of orchestral students. Another goal is to build competence in performing ensemble such as chamber music, wind orchestra, and string orchestra.
Program of Vocal Music
Program of Vocal Music aims to foster musical talents of students as performers who can engage in vocal performances, operas, and choruses as professionals through practices and extensive academic researches on diction, chorus, opera workshop, sight singing, and music dictation.
Program of Composition
Program of Composition aims to raise composers and musical theorists. Students learn composition techniques through analysis of work based on systematic courses and weekly 1:1 practical training lessons, and achieve self-realization as a musical artist through the study of intensive music theories. The goal is to cultivate professional musicians through individual and group concerts, research presentations, and graduation concert by understanding musical knowledge related to composition through presentation and discussions on composition theories.
Program of Piano
Program of Piano aims to cultivate musical talents as performers who can professionally work in fields of piano solo, accompaniment, chamber music and more through practice and ensemble classes including piano duo, accompaniment, chamber music, piano teaching method, piano literature, and contemporary piano music.
